Painting The Rehoboth Art League Gallery - 2024

I retired as President from Burke Painting and Coatings, Inc. in May of 2022 after 42 years. After a year away from work I started a part time job at The Rehoboth Art League as their Building and Grounds Manager. The four buildings and three acres kept me very busy, but I found out that I missed the painting industry, so I left the Art League in November of 2024 to think about my next endeavor.

I decided at that time to open a residential painting business that caters to homeowners who are

looking for quality workmanship and service.

I work alone, taking my time with no rush to get to the next job.

I love residential painting and it gives me the peace of mind that I need now that I am retired.

I just couldn't stop Painting, I enjoy it!

If your looking for a professional painter who works alone and values quality workmanship, doesn't rush the job and takes the time to do the job right I may be the right choice for you.

I have used so many different colors in my 45 years of painting that I have a pretty good idea of what works and doesn't, so from color selection to sheen finishes I can help you through the entire process. I use only Sherwin Williams higher end paints for a beautiful finish.

Some things to know:

- I work alone.

- I take my time.

- My schedule is very flexible.

- I will not rush a job to get to the next one.

- I believe that painting is more than just a job – it's an art form.

- My arrival time in the morning depends on my schedule for that

morning.

- I work hard every day and have no set time to stop at the end of the

day.

- My work day ends when i am at a good stopping point.

- I am trustworthy and have no desire to overstep any boundaries.

- I will respect you, your family, your pets and your home.

- Your home is your biggest investment as is mine and I will value it as

I do mine.

Showcase of Some Projects Before Retirement.

My Career in Painting

I retired as President from Burke Painting and Coatings Inc. in 2022 after 42 years. I began my painting career in residential painting in 1980 with a small crew. In the 1990's when residential new construction took over the hills of Hockessin, DE (where I grew up) I moved to painting new construction, which was plentiful in the area at that time. That became our specialty and we quickly expanded to all of Delaware, parts of Maryland and Pennsylvania with over 25 employees. In 2008 when the recession hit the residential building industry we shifted to new commercial construction projects and commercial re-paints. We painted large commercial projects such as grocery stores, retail clothing stores, churches and warehouses etc. This led us into wider areas of MD, NJ, PA, VA. After many years of working in the commercial painting industry I decided to close the shop and retired in 2022. In November of 2024 I started back to where I originally began, residential painting, I returned to what I love!
